Cayenne Cashew Nuts
1 T. water
1 egg white
4 C unsalted cashews
1/4 C to 1/2 C sugar (adjust to taste)
1 1/2 tsp to 2 Tbls Cayenne (adjust to taste)
1 to 2 Tbls kosher salt (adjust to taste)
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Mix water and egg white, add nuts and stir in cayenne
mix. Spread in pan and bake until dry, stirring every 15 minutes. This takes about 1 to 1.25 hours to dry well.
You can make them as sweet, spicy, or salty as you like.
Just taste the spice mix before you add it into the cashew mixture.
