Ambrosia Bars

1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup cold margarine or butter
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
4 eggs (beaten)
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup finely chopped pecans
3 Tbls flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Icing:
2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbls lemon juice
2 Tbls softened butter

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine flour
(1-1/2 cups) and powdered sugar; cut in 3/4 cup margarine
until mixture is crumbly. Press onto bottom of lightly greased
13x9-inch baking pan; bake 15 minutes. Meanwhile in a large
bowl, combine brown sugar, eggs, coconut, pecans, flour (3
tablespoons) and baking powder; mix well. Spread evenly over
baked crust; bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. In a bowl, mix
together icing ingredients until smooth. Spread over top and
chill. Cut into bars. Store covered in refrigerator. Makes
36 bars.
